An interview series about engineering and the people it changes, produced in planned sessions and directed live.
The assignment
DiscoverE's Chats with Change Makers is a conversation series with engineers and the people their work affects. The production challenge is yield: a series cannot afford to spend a full production effort on a single episode and nothing else. Each session has to deliver the episode and the material that promotes and extends it.
What we made
- Full episodes, directed live in planned recording sessions
- Deliverables lists written before each session: episode, cutdowns, and promos
- Short-form versions drawn from the same interviews
- Graphics and intro packages for the series
- Transcripts delivered with finished episodes
The result
Because the deliverables are set before the session, one recording day produces an episode and its supporting content together, instead of a single program followed by months of one-off requests. It is the same planning discipline PMG applies to association and nonprofit clients: write the deliverables list first, then design the day to fill it.
